A dual-stream international and Malaysian school in Iskandar Puteri, part of the International Schools Partnership network.

Tenby Setia Eco Gardens opened in 2013 as the JB campus of the Tenby Schools group, operated by International Schools Partnership. The site runs two parallel streams on one campus: National Curriculum for England with IPC and IGCSE on the international side, and the Malaysian national curriculum on the private side, with families choosing one from entry.

Parent voice is mixed. The positive thread is dedicated teachers, an active parent community, and a reasonable price point for the area. The negative thread, repeated across reviews, centres on year-on-year fee increases without a clear structure, and complaints that operational concerns raised by parents are not always picked up. Sits in the affordable-to-mid bracket among the Iskandar Puteri options, below Marlborough and Raffles American but above the smaller local-international schools.

  • Johor Bahru parent voice on Setia Eco Gardens is mixed. Positive parents describe an environment that improves children's English fluency and praise teachers for going out of their way to meet individual needs.
  • One parent of three children at the school said they were impressed with year-on-year progress and the warm, individualised attention from staff.
  • Recurring complaints centre on annual fee increases without clear structure, and some parents say the school does not listen well when issues are raised.
  • Discipline and behaviour management surface as a smaller secondary theme, with parents suggesting the system is inconsistent.
  • Dual offer (Tenby International alongside Sekolah Sri Tenby on the Malaysian National curriculum) is a structural draw for local families.
  • Independent forum signal is effectively absent. Public parent voice is small and directory-led; treat the pool as polarised on operations rather than consistently positive or negative.

Positives

  • English-medium environment. Parents specifically credit the school for accelerating their children's English fluency.
  • Teacher attention. Repeated praise for teachers going out of their way to meet individual children's needs.
  • Dual British and Malaysian streams. Co-located international and national-curriculum streams allow flexibility for local families.

Considerations

  • Fee structure. Parents flag annual fee increases without a clearly published structure.
  • Communication and discipline. Some parents say the school is slow to act on feedback and that discipline is inconsistent.
