Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School Bali
IB World School in Renon, Denpasar offering the full IB continuum (PYP, MYP, Diploma) plus Cambridge IGCSE, serving around 500 students from 30+ nationalities since 2007.
In brief
An IB World School in Sanur that has run all four IB programmes since 2019, pitched at families who want full IB without the top-tier Bali price tag.
GMIS opened in 2007 as the Bali sister of the older Jakarta school of the same name, and now enrols around 500 students from 30-plus nationalities. It became authorised for the Diploma in 2009 and added PYP, MYP and the Career-related Programme in steady steps after that, which is unusual reach for a school at this fee level. Facilities include an indoor pool and a covered sports gym.
Fees run roughly IDR 76 million to 177 million across the year groups, well below Green School, Canggu Community and Bali Island School. That brings a different family mix, more long-term resident expat and Indian-diaspora than the seasonal Canggu crowd. The school sits in the quieter Sanur catchment, so commute is gentle for families south or east of Denpasar but a slog from Canggu or Ubud.

Reviews
The pitch parents return to is value: a full IB pathway (PYP through DP) plus Cambridge IGCSE at fees that sit well below the higher-end Bali campuses. Renon location puts it close to government offices and consulates, with a 10 to 15 minute run to Sanur for families based that side of the island. The student body skews diverse with a noticeable Indian and Indonesian core, and the day-to-day feel is described as multicultural and academically focused. The building looks dated from the outside, the inside is functional with a gym, indoor pool and labs, and internal marking is reported as tough.
