The Singapore franchise of the Cambridge-based Perse School, relaunched on a Bukit Timah campus in January 2025 with a fresh leadership team after an earlier Singapore venture wound down.

The Perse School Singapore reopened at 58 Chestnut Drive in January 2025 under principal Lynne Oldfield, with co-CEOs Johan Stromsater and Anip Sharma. The lower school takes ages 3 to 11 from launch, with the secondary opening for ages 12 to 18 from August 2025. The curriculum is the Cambridge International framework through IGCSE, with planned A Level pathways. The principal holds a regular meeting with leadership at The Perse Cambridge.

Fees sit at the lower end of the Bukit Timah British school cluster, around 25,000 to 30,000 SGD. Early parent feedback is positive on small classes, teacher quality and a balance of academics with creativity and independence. Families considering Perse are usually weighing it against Tanglin, Dover Court, Dulwich and the new ACS International, with Perse pitched as the smaller, newer and more affordable option.

Fee Age Type Amount

Year 7-11 (Seniors) 12 Annual SGD 30,046

Assessment (Year 7+) 12 One-time SGD 2,125
Application Fee One-time SGD 1,635

  • The small parent pool is positive to cautious: families praise academics, creativity, independence, teacher attention, facilities, and a child becoming more confident.
  • The main caution is that the school is still settling operationally, with comments about changing staff and board arrangements, inconsistent policies, and the challenge of attracting excellent teachers.
  • Staff comments are positive about vision, colleagues, pay, autonomy, and classrooms, while noting that school days can become busy.
