In brief
A large Saudi-majority international school in Almasiaf running both a US Common Core stream and a Cambridge stream, with strong test-centre credentials and a disciplined, traditional feel.
Dome opened in 2016 and now teaches around 1,870 students across separate girls' and boys' campuses. Accreditation runs through Cognia, Cambridge International, and the IB, and the school hosts the largest College Board SAT testing centre in Riyadh as well as IELTS, IGCSE, and A Level exams. Class sizes average 20 with a cap of 24.
Around 26 nationalities are represented, but the student body is overwhelmingly Saudi. Parents praise faculty quality, individual attention, and discipline standards. The school suits families who want academic structure and exam orientation over a more international or progressive feel, and works particularly well for families committing to the Cambridge route through to IGCSE and A Level.
Reviews
- Dome International Schools is a Saudi-owned dual-track school in Riyadh, opened in 2016 and now operating two campuses (Al Maidani and Al Malqa, the latter opened August 2022). Around 1,870 students from 26 nationalities. It runs both a US Common Core / American Diploma track and a Cambridge primary, secondary and A Level track.
- Notable infrastructure points: the largest British Council partner in the Riyadh region and one of the largest College Board SAT testing centres in the area. High School Diploma is COGNIA-accredited and the school says 95% of graduates progress to higher education.
- Parent reviews on Edarabia (15+ across 2018-2024) are warmly positive. Recurring themes are caring teachers, strong cleanliness and discipline, an attentive principal and visible improvement in children's confidence and academic performance.
- One parent said "I have noticed remarkable changes in my daughter's overall personality" and rated the school "10/10 on cleanliness, hygiene and discipline." Another said the boys' section "is the best in Riyadh," with professional teachers and a clean building.
- WhichSchoolAdvisor's parent survey returned too few responses to publish results. There is no independent inspection rating yet.
- Reviewer pool is mostly families and ex-staff who chose to post positive feedback. There is little independent or critical signal online, and it has not surfaced in community discussions threads about Riyadh schools.
