A small Cambridge school in Melodies Garden serving local and regional families on a budget rather than the international expat circuit.

Sri Utama is a Malaysian schools group with its main campus in Kuala Lumpur. The Johor Bahru campus opened in 2003 in Melodies Garden and runs Cambridge from kindergarten through IGCSE, with air-conditioned classrooms, a swimming pool and standard science and arts rooms.

Parent feedback is mixed. Some families report a calm, focused exam environment and value-for-money fees that sit well below the Iskandar Puteri schools. Others have rated teaching quality and overall experience poorly. Signal is thin and the school does not show up much on the expat-circuit shortlists for JB, which tend to revolve around Marlborough, Raffles American, Tenby, Sunway and CHIS. Recent IGCSE results and a campus visit are the two checks that matter most for this school.
