CHIREC's main Kondapur campus, founded in 1989 by Ratna D. Reddy and acquired by Cognita in 2019. The original site for what is now a multi-campus Hyderabad school offering CBSE, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma to around 3,700 students.

Kondapur is the original CHIREC campus and runs the senior-school programme. Ages 2.5 to 17. CIS accredited. Mrs VKLT Katyayini heads the school; Mrs Reddy stayed on as Advisor after the Cognita transaction, with her daughter Aneesha Reddy as Head of Strategic Initiatives. The campus sits in the Gachibowli corridor in the city's IT belt, closer to daily catchment than ISH or Aga Khan.

Fees run INR 2.1 to 4.1 lakh annually, well below the IB World School cohort and a major reason CHIREC pulls families looking for international curricula at relatively accessible price points. Parent signal splits: positive reads centre on the breadth of programmes and extracurriculars; critical reads focus on the size of the cohort and uneven teaching quality across grades.

The texture families describe at the Kondapur campus is a big, busy school where the experience swings on which teacher and which section your child lands in. The facilities and the spread of sports and activities draw consistent praise, and the senior school still lands credible IB and Cambridge results that put it on NRI returnees' shortlists. The recurring friction sits elsewhere: yearly fee increases stacked with activity charges, communication that parents find slow when something needs chasing, and a strikingly specific complaint about how the school buses are driven through the Kondapur and Hitec City lanes. A thread of older families feel the name carries more weight than the current product does.

Positives

  • Facilities and extracurricular spread. The five-acre Kondapur site and its range of sports and activities, from basketball and skating to archery and taekwondo plus well-equipped labs, are the most consistent thing parents and students single out for praise.
  • Senior-school outcomes. The IB and Cambridge senior programmes still register as a credible option for NRI returnee families weighing overseas pathways, and the campus's results and university placements keep it on Hyderabad shortlists alongside Oakridge and Indus.

Considerations

  • School bus driving. A pointed and repeated complaint is rash driving by the school's buses through narrow Kondapur and Hitec City lanes, including jumping signals; parents who have tried to raise it describe the management response as ineffective.
  • Teacher quality is uneven and teacher-dependent. Families say a child's year hinges on the individual teacher, and some report that complaints lead to a teacher being shuffled between sections rather than the underlying problem being fixed.
  • Fee hikes and add-on charges. Parents flag steep annual fee increases on the order of fifteen to twenty percent layered on top of separate activity charges, which feeds a recurring sense that the school runs commercially.
  • Communication and follow-through. Responsiveness reads as patchy: some families report smooth updates and regular feedback while others describe slow replies and leadership that talks at length without acting on issues raised.
  • Sense of decline. A strand of longer-standing families feel the established reputation outpaces the current experience, with several saying standards have slipped over the years from the school's earlier name.
