Around 1.6 hectares of campus organised into kindergarten, primary, secondary and PE blocks, with a 2,000 square metre rooftop vegetable garden used as an active learning space. Professor Nakayama Kimio leads. The Cambridge stream gives families a route to IGCSEs alongside Japanese language and cultural instruction, and in 2024 JIS placed in the top two Hanoi high schools for average foreign-language scores in the national graduation exam.
The natural family is Japanese expat or a Vietnamese family wanting genuine Japanese-language immersion. Day-to-day parent feedback skews positive on the warm community feel. Teacher-side commentary is sharper, particularly around pay and work-life balance, which feeds into staff continuity questions. Outside the Japanese-curriculum draw, families weighing this against UNIS, BIS or ISPH compare the Cambridge stream track record carefully.
