Rugby School Dubai

British-curriculum school operated by Aldar Education under licence from the 450-year-old Rugby School in Warwickshire. Opens August 2026 in Nad Al Sheba on the campus currently occupied by Kent College Dubai.

Henry Price, formerly 13 years at Rugby UK as Senior Housemaster and Head of Classics and later Head of Oakham, leads as Executive Principal. Scott Goldstein heads the Senior School. The campus already exists, more than 90 classrooms, science and design labs, drama and art studios, a 400-seat auditorium, swimming pools, rugby and football pitches and an athletics track. Fees set at roughly AED 70,000 to 120,000 across phases.

The change has unsettled current Kent College families, who learned by joint letter that the Aldar and Kent Canterbury partnership ends after 2025-26, with Kent College moving to a new site under Laureate. For incoming families the proposition is a proven Aldar operating model, a famous British brand and a complete plug-and-play campus from day one. The competitive question is whether a brand-new school can match NLCS, Dulwich and Repton on academic results in its early years.
