A small American-curriculum Christian K-12 school on Jubilee Road that consistently rates near the top of parent satisfaction surveys in Singapore.

ICS opened in 1993 and now serves around 350 students from roughly 30 nationalities, with WASC and ACSI accreditation and membership of the NICS network of Christian international schools. The curriculum is American with a Christian worldview running through the day. Bible class is part of the timetable four days a week, with weekly chapel in elementary and an annual Spiritual Emphasis Week.

The school's distinguishing feature, repeatedly named by families, is the close-knit community feel. Children are known by name across the school and parents describe staff as genuinely invested in their kids. ICS topped the WhichSchoolAdvisor parent survey for Singapore in 2024. Families looking for a large, secular IB or British environment will weigh ICS against UWC, SAS or Tanglin instead. Families wanting a smaller faith-anchored school find a strong fit here.

International Community School Singapore (ICS) is a small K-12 school with around 340 students from 24 nationalities, following a US college-preparatory curriculum within a Christian framework. Singapore's only Christian international school offering a full American curriculum, it earns a 4.7/5 from 34 parent surveys on, which conducted an on-site visit in March 2026.

What parents say

Community and personal relationships are the defining themes across sources. With an average class size of 15 and a 1:7 student-to-teacher ratio, parents say teachers know children individually - strengths, challenges and personality. A June 2025 parent on International Schools Database describes finding "an amazing village to raise my kids together." Pastoral care and the Parent Teacher Fellowship draw consistent praise. AP results are described as strong, and ICS ranks #1 in's Best Schools in Singapore parent survey ranking.

Where the criticism lands

Facilities are the acknowledged trade-off. Multiple parents and theeditorial note that campuses are simpler than Singapore's newer international schools and the sports and arts programmes are smaller in scale. The Christian framework - daily Bible classes and weekly chapel for elementary students - is central to school life, which suits families seeking it but narrows the school's fit for those who do not.

Admissions

ICS follows the US academic calendar (August to May). Fees range from SGD 28,146 to SGD 40,730 annually. The school offers 23 AP courses across six disciplines, and graduates primarily attend US universities, with growing numbers heading to the UK, Australia and Asia. Accredited by ACSI and WASC.

Positives

 • Community and belonging. The defining theme across all sources.'s site visit and 4.7/5 parent rating both centre on the tight-knit atmosphere created by small scale and long-serving staff.
 • Academic preparation. Parents on iSchoolAdvisor report graduates found their first year of university easier than their senior year at ICS. Strong AP course breadth for a school of this size.
 • Service learning. Week Without Walls and FaithWorks programmes send students to serve across Singapore and Southeast Asia annually. International Schools Database reviewers highlight these as formative experiences.

Considerations

 • Faith-based environment. Christian values shape daily life - Bible classes four times weekly, chapel, spiritual emphasis events. Around two-thirds of students identify as Christian; the school welcomes other faiths.
 • Facilities and scale. Bothand parents note the campus is modest compared to larger Singapore schools. Sports and arts programmes reflect the school's small size.
