The only school in Sharjah holding a SPEA Outstanding rating, and currently the top-rated CBSE option in the emirate. A serious academic destination at mid-band Indian-school fees.

GEMS Millennium opened in 2010 in Muweilah and runs CBSE from KG to Grade 12 with around 2,400 students. Fees range from roughly AED 15,880 to 25,360. SPEA inspectors rated the school Outstanding in the 2022-23 cycle, the only Sharjah school at that level.

Families pick GMS for academic delivery rather than facilities or extras. Board results land consistently strong, communication through the GEMS Parent Portal is frequent, and the school publishes its CBSE outcomes openly, which is unusual locally. Pastoral structures are well embedded for a school of this size.

The school is part of the GEMS Education network, the dominant private operator in the UAE. Sharjah families weighing GMS against DPS Sharjah tend to compare cohort culture and class size more than fee, since pricing sits in similar territory. GMS draws families who want the rigour without the volume of DPS.

  • The Sharjah Private Education Authority rated the school Outstanding in 2022-23, jumping two levels from Good in 2019; it is the only CBSE school in the UAE at that rating.
  • A 276-response parent survey is small with 94% saying they would recommend; 95% say their children enjoy attending.
  • One parent in Sharjah is sharply against the school, citing crowding, behaviour issues and good teachers leaving quickly; this view sits well outside the survey consensus and reads as an outlier rather than a pattern.
  • Other parents cluster the school with DPS and Our Own as the academic short-list for South Asian families, particularly south-Indian intake.

Positives

  • Regulator rating. SPEA Outstanding 2022-23, the only CBSE school in the UAE at that level.
  • Parent satisfaction. Large parent pool reports high enjoyment, belonging and recommendation rates.
  • Academic short-list status. forum threads place GMS in the Sharjah CBSE top tier with DPS and Our Own.

Considerations

  • Outlier negative voice. One Sharjah commenter flags overcrowding, poor behaviour and teacher churn, against the survey consensus.
