TAS sits in the An Phu stretch of the former District 2, a 15-minute drive along Song Hanh from the Thao Dien cluster. At around 550 students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 12, it's one of Saigon's smaller accredited schools, which means the American curriculum - Common Core through to AP in the senior years - runs without the anonymity of a 2,000-student campus. WASC accreditation since 2015 gives it standing in the US university application process, and the 2020 move to a purpose-built 30,000 sqm campus on Song Hanh upgraded the facilities meaningfully from its original Thao Dien location.

Families at the school consistently mention the warmth of the community and the quality of the teaching in specific subjects - maths and humanities get mentioned often. The AP programme in senior school gives Grade 11 and 12 students US university credit options, and the school's size keeps class groups small enough that teachers know students individually. Fees are lower than the Thao Dien top tier: Pre-Nursery starts at 240 million VND, and even the highest Grades 11-12 band is 724 million VND - below BIS, AIS, and ISHCMC at equivalent levels.

The honest question about TAS is ownership and leadership stability. Some families with longer experience there have noted periods of management disruption, including changes in senior administration at short notice. Teacher turnover has been a recurring concern in the same circles - worth asking directly how the school is tracking on both counts in the current school year. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's the first conversation to have rather than the last.
