ICS suits families who want a full IB pathway in a compact, community-feel school in central Paris without the waitlists and selectivity of EJM or the eye-watering first-year costs of ASP. Go in knowing that administration is the school's weak spot.

ICS Paris is the most accessible of Paris's IB schools: no selective admissions, central 15th arrondissement location near Convention metro, and a full PYP-MYP-DP continuum plus Edexcel IGCSE and A-Level for students who want an alternative to the Diploma. Part of the Globeducate group, it's larger than a boutique school but smaller than the major US and British campuses. Around 60 nationalities are enrolled at any one time.

Annual school trips are included in tuition rather than billed as extras, which families with multiple children notice and appreciate. The community is consistently described as welcoming, particularly for new arrivals - the 15th has a large expat population and the school reflects that. Class sizes are manageable and teachers are generally described as engaged. The school operates uniform; lunch supervision is mandatory for Nursery to Grade 5.

The administration gets mixed reviews, and it's the most consistent criticism across multiple parent accounts. Emails can go unanswered, communication during busy periods is patchy, and some families have found billing and enrolment processes opaque. The ISD rating sits at 2.9 out of 5, which is below average for Paris, and most of the lower scores trace back to administration rather than teaching or community. The School Development Fund of EUR 3,750 for new students is a sizeable addition to first-year costs on top of the EUR 3,000 registration fee.
