In Brief
EIB is the most practical choice for families who want genuinely bilingual French-English schooling across a range of Paris locations without committing to the cost of a full private international school. Check which specific campus suits your arrondissement before applying - the campuses vary meaningfully in size, location and English intensity.
EIB (Ecole Internationale Bilingue) has been running bilingual French-English schools in Paris since 1954 - it is one of the oldest private bilingual networks in France. Eight campuses now operate across the capital and western suburbs, spanning ages 3 to 18: primary and college at Monceau (8e), primary at Grenelle (7e) and Lamartine (16e), lycee at Etoile (8e, near the Arc de Triomphe), primary through college at La Jonchere (La Celle-Saint-Cloud), and two newer sites at Trocadero (16e, opened 2025) and Wagram (17e, opening September 2026). The network is part of Globeducate, a large international school group. Results are strong: 100% Brevet pass rate and 98% of Bac candidates passing with honours.
English instruction runs at 25% of teaching time on most Paris campuses and up to 50% at La Jonchere - meaningful bilingual exposure, but not a 50/50 programme. The curriculum follows the French national framework throughout, with British English teachers delivering the English component. 2025-26 fees at the La Jonchere campus (the representative pricing used across the network) are EUR 13,545 for primary and EUR 16,350 for secondary, plus a EUR 300 application fee, EUR 1,650 registration fee and EUR 1,650 School Development Fund on entry. Fees are lower than most Paris private internationals for comparable bilingual provision.
The eight-campus structure means EIB is not one school but a network, and quality and atmosphere vary by campus. Families should visit the specific campus they are applying to rather than relying on network-level reputation. La Jonchere in La Celle-Saint-Cloud is the largest and most international campus but involves a western-suburbs commute. English at 25% is not sufficient if your goal is raising fully English-dominant children in Paris - for that, BSP or Lycee International British Section will be more appropriate. Some families have noted that the Globeducate ownership brings a more corporate feel to administration than was the case under previous ownership.
What parents value
- –Eight campuses across Paris and western suburbs; high probability of a campus near your home. One of the oldest bilingual networks in France - 70 years of programme refinement. Fees of EUR 13,545-16,350 are significantly lower than ISP, ASP or BSP for comparable bilingual provision.
- –100% Brevet pass rate; 98% Bac with honours. French national curriculum base means graduates are fully compatible with the French higher education system. Genuine bilingual community - 3,000 students from 70 countries across the network.
Points of consideration
- –English instruction at 25% (most campuses) is meaningful but not immersive. If English-language fluency is the primary goal, consider BSP or the Lycee International British Section instead.
- –The network operates under Globeducate group ownership. Quality varies by campus - visit the specific site before applying, not just the flagship. The new Wagram campus (opening September 2026) has no track record yet.
