For families relocating from the US for two years or less, ASP is the easiest transition - American curriculum, familiar structure, and a community that knows how to onboard new families. If you're self-funding and staying longer, look hard at the total cost including the capital assessment.

ASP offers something ISP doesn't: the American High School Diploma alongside AP courses and the IB Diploma, giving families genuine flexibility on university pathways on both sides of the Atlantic. At around 760 students from 63 nationalities, it's small enough to feel personal - an 8:1 student-teacher ratio and average class size of 18 mean staff actually know your children. The 5-hectare Saint-Cloud campus has outdoor space and sports facilities that urban Paris schools simply can't match.

Teacher tenure averages 10 years, which is exceptional for an international school and suggests genuine institutional stability. The 100% IB pass rate and 34.6 average IB score are solid, and 86% of AP exam scores come in at 3 or above. Families with children transitioning from US schools report a smooth adjustment - the curriculum, the culture, the school day feel familiar. The onboarding process for new families is frequently mentioned as a strength.

Saint-Cloud is 20-30 minutes by RER from central Paris, which adds up over a school year. The mandatory EUR 12,200 capital assessment for students from K5 upwards makes the first year significantly more expensive than the headline tuition suggests - total first-year cost for a Grade 9 student exceeds EUR 55,000 before optional extras. Families staying short-term should check the refund policy carefully.
