  • Corona is one of Lagos's longest-established Nigerian-British schools, with sites in Ikoyi (founded 1960), Victoria Island, Gbagada, Apapa, Lekki and Agbara. Reach and brand recognition are high among Lagos parents.
  • The most-cited voice is one former student who attended Corona Ikoyi and wrote that "there are now no more playgrounds, they have built buildings over it there to pack more kids like sardines", flagging space and capacity pressure on the original site.
  • Curriculum blends Nigerian and international frameworks. Primary schools layer in the International Primary Curriculum; secondary schools run a British curriculum alongside Nigerian content.
  • Corona Lekki has been recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School in West Africa for several consecutive years, and Corona is a member of the Council of British International Schools and the Association of International Schools in Africa.
  • Independent parent commentary outside school marketing channels is limited; most testimonial is alumni-flavoured rather than current parent voice.

Positives

  • Heritage and brand. Long-standing Lagos network founded in 1960, recognised within COBIS and AISA
  • Curriculum mix. Blend of Nigerian, IPC and British curricula across primary and secondary
  • Technology recognition. Lekki campus carries Microsoft Showcase School status across recent years

Considerations

  • Site capacity. Reddit alumni comment flags reduced playground space at the Ikoyi site as additional buildings have been added
  • Independent review depth. Most parent-facing testimonial is on the school's own channels; independent review pool is shallow
