  • Among parents and ex-students online, MJIS sits in a small set of well-known options in Jeddah, with several commenters calling it generally well regarded and worth a shout for British and American curriculum.
  • One ex-student (class of 2022) said the school cared less about admissions performance than fee payment, and described being made to repeat entrance subjects and signing a parental pledge agreement; the same student described the experience as transactional and demoralising.
  • One current student said it is pretty good but management aren't so helpful and there aren't many activities, while trips are genuinely good.
  • One Jeddah international-school teacher said they would not particularly recommend Manarat over peer options; a separate older comment called it shite, while other parents reference it positively as part of the Maarif Education group.
  • Recurring administrative line: organised co-ed culture in some sections, with separate boys' and girls' campuses and Arabic and Islamic studies offered alongside the international stream; MAS/Maarif group context is repeatedly cited.

Considerations

  • Reputation in Jeddah. Parents and former students treat it as well known and a credible choice, but rarely describe it as the best in Jeddah.
  • Admissions and fees. An ex-student describes a pay-driven admissions experience, including parental pledges and re-tested subjects.
  • Management and activities. Current student says management is not very helpful and the activity programme is light, though field trips are good.
  • Curriculum mix. Saudi curriculum and an international section using American/British pathways; Arabic and Islamic studies offered for non-Arab speakers.
  • Group context. Part of the Maarif Education (MAS) group; some parents reference siblings at Manarat schools in other Saudi cities.
