MEF International School sits in Levent, which makes it one of the most accessible international schools in Istanbul for families living on the European side between the Bosphorus and the TEM. The school runs all the way from Early Childhood through IB Year 2 on a single site - a practical advantage that families with children at different stages appreciate. CIS and NEASC accreditation give it international credibility, and the curriculum spans British, IGCSE, and full IB from PYP through Diploma.

A full campus renovation completed for the 2025-2026 academic year has upgraded classrooms, sports halls, and the cafeteria, and families who joined recently are noticeably more positive than older reviews from 2022-2024. Parent communication - weekly newsletters, accessible management - comes up repeatedly in recent accounts. Food is included in the headline fee, which simplifies budgeting. The new head, Elvan Tongal, has been in post since 2019 and the school's direction since then draws positive comments from families enrolled in 2025-2026.

Fees include a 10% VAT component and run from around US$23,600 for Pre-School to US$46,300 for IB Year 2. A non-refundable registration of US$4,250 and a yearly placement fee (up to US$8,000 for IB students) are on top. There is a 2% early-payment discount for full fees paid by early March. One review from 2024 raised concerns about budget cuts affecting staffing; more recent accounts don't echo this, but it's worth asking the school directly about staff contract lengths and retention at senior level.
