  • One of Turkey's most prestigious K-12 schools, run by the non-profit Vehbi Koç Foundation on a 151-acre campus near Tuzla on Istanbul's Asian side.
  • Bilingual Turkish-English with optional French, German or Spanish. From end of Grade 10, students choose between an IB Diploma track and a Turkish national-curriculum track.
  • Reputation in Turkey is strong and stable. forum threads on Turkish university admissions list Koç alongside Boğaziçi and METU as the schools and universities students aim for; one student wrote "Koç okulu (zengin değilim, bursluyum)" ("Koç school, I'm not rich, I'm on scholarship"), reflecting that more than 400 of 2,200 students are on financial aid.
  • University outcomes drive much of the parent appeal. Around half of graduates progress to overseas universities including Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and MIT.
  • Open-web qualitative parent voices are thinner than the brand suggests; most online discussion is from current and former students or admissions-focused parents rather than long-form parent reviews.

Positives

  • Tier positioning. Routinely cited by Turkish students as one of the top private schools in Istanbul.
  • Scholarship breadth. Around 400 of 2,200 students on scholarship; the school carries a non-profit, mixed-intake reputation.
  • University destinations. About half of graduates head overseas, including to Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and MIT.

Considerations

  • Parent voice volume. Strong reputational signal but limited long-form parent reviews; most online discussion is student or admissions focused.
