In Brief
ISPH is worth serious consideration if you live in or near Ha Dong - the A-Level results are strong for a young school, and the fees are the most accessible of Hanoi's three main options.
Opened in 2019 with 70 students, ISPH has grown steadily to around 350 and now runs all the way to A-Levels, with its first cohort graduating in 2025. The results were striking for a school this young: 68% of A-Level grades at A* or A, against a UK national rate of around 27% in 2024. The Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level pathway gives leavers flexibility - UK, Australian, Korean, and many European universities recognise these qualifications directly.
The ParkCity campus was designed with international schools in mind: an Olympic-size pool, astroturf sports field, performing arts centre, and a 11:1 student-teacher ratio that allows for genuinely personal attention. Families who have moved from the larger Hanoi schools often mention that teachers know every child by name within the first weeks. The co-curricular offer runs to 50+ activities.
The location is the trade-off. ParkCity is in Ha Dong district, on the western fringe of the city. From the Tay Ho expat cluster or Long Bien, you are looking at 40-60 minutes each way at school run time. The school is still on the pathway to full ISQM accreditation - its sister school in Kuala Lumpur achieved Gold Level, and ISPH is working towards the same standard. Worth asking the admissions team where they currently stand.
What parents value
- –A-Level results in 2025 significantly outperformed UK national averages: 68% A*-A versus 27% nationally. For a six-year-old school, this is a meaningful signal.
- –Fees are the lowest of the three main options - Year 1 at VND 360,815,000 and secondary well below BIS and UNIS. Self-funding families will find the annual cost more manageable.
- –11:1 student-teacher ratio with a maximum class size of around 20. Small enough that your child will not get lost, and staff turnover appears low for a school of this age.
Points of consideration
- –Ha Dong location means a long commute from most of Hanoi's expat housing clusters. Check whether the school bus route covers your area before committing to accommodation.
- –Still growing and working towards full international accreditation. At around 350 students, the senior school cohorts are small - choice of A-Level subjects may be narrower than at larger schools. Confirm current subject offerings.
- –Limited independent review history. The school opened in 2019, so there is less parent community feedback available than for BIS or UNIS. Ask for contact details of current parents during the admissions process.
