In brief
Operated by Nord Anglia, LCIS sits on a hillside campus in Aubonne between Geneva and Lausanne, taking around 430 students aged 3 to 18. A British-framework school running the IB Diploma at the top end.
The school follows the English National Curriculum through to IGCSE, then the IB Diploma in years 12 and 13. CIS accredited. Andrew McLoughlin leads the school. More than 40 nationalities on roll. Founded in 1972. The Nord Anglia connection brings the STEAM partnership with MIT and the music collaboration with Juilliard.
Parents describe a community where teachers, families and the PTA blend genuinely, with regular events, a Parents' Hub for workshops, and strong sport and performing arts pulled out as highlights. IB results come in consistently above the world average. Fees of CHF 19,500 to 38,800 are firmly at the upper end of the Geneva-Vaud market. The Aubonne location works well for families in Morges, Nyon and the lake-side commute, less so for anyone needing to be in central Geneva on weekday mornings.

Reviews
- Parents on expat forums spanning 2011 to 2018 sketch a clear arc: early parents praised small classes, arts focus and warm staff, but flagged a converted-farmhouse site that felt cramped before the 2014 move to the current Aubonne campus.
- Staff turnover surfaces as the recurring concern. One parent reported that roughly twenty staff left in a single summer, with departures concentrated in secondary leadership.
- Parents who stayed reported their children moved on to UK schools above expected grades, and the IB cohort averaged 34.6 in 2025 against the global average of around 30.
- Nord Anglia marketing leans on Juilliard, MIT and UNICEF tie-ins. Parents commenting on these threads treat these as nice-to-have rather than the reason to enrol, and emphasise the small school feel and Lac Léman setting instead.
- Independent parent commentary is otherwise sparse, with no reviews and no public parent feedback found.
Positives
- Strong IB results and onward placements. 2025 cohort averaged 34.6 IB points against the global average around 30; parents reported children moving to UK schools above expected grades.
- Small classes and personal attention. Primary class sizes capped around 18, repeated as a draw across years.
Considerations
- Staff turnover, especially in secondary. Forum posts describe waves of staff leaving, including the principal and head of secondary in 2018.
- Older facility concerns now dated. Pre-2014 commentary about the converted-farmhouse premises no longer applies; the school moved to its current Aubonne campus.
- Group marketing versus campus reality. Nord Anglia leans on Juilliard, MIT and UNICEF partnerships; parent commentary focuses instead on day-to-day teaching and staff stability.
