Ecole Moser Geneva occupies a specific and genuinely unusual niche in the Geneva private school market. It is the only school in Switzerland authorised to offer IB Diploma and Swiss Maturite simultaneously to the same students - meaning a child can graduate with both qualifications, keeping European and global university doors fully open. The trilingual model runs across French, German and English from Primary (entry at age 8) through Upper Secondary, and the school is family-owned by the Moser family with Alain Moser as Director General. IB authorisation was granted in September 2021, and the school was named Best European International School by Education View in 2024. Around 770 students from 40 nationalities attend the Chene-Bougeries campus.

For German-speaking expat families - a significant group in Geneva given the Swiss-German and German business communities - Ecole Moser is often the most natural fit available. The German stream is substantive rather than token, which is not true of most Geneva international schools. French is the dominant language of the curriculum for Swiss Maturite preparation, and English covers the IB Diploma components; students are genuinely operating across all three. School hours run 8am-5pm, and no uniform is required. The school does not hold CIS or COBIS accreditation - it operates under Swiss cantonal oversight and the QSC (Certification Suisse) framework rather than the independent international accreditations that families moving from Singapore or Dubai may be familiar with. This does not affect the validity of the qualifications, but it does mean the external quality assurance framework is different from what many internationally-mobile families are used to. Primary entry begins at age 8 (not 3-5 as at most Geneva schools), which rules out Ecole Moser for families with younger children seeking continuity from early years.
