Located in Mira Oasis serving the growing communities along Al Qudra Road, DBS Mira follows the British National Curriculum from FS1 to Year 6, with plans to expand to Year 13 in future phases. Under founding principal Amy Falhi, who progressed through the ranks at DBS Jumeirah Park, the school emphasizes inclusion through KHDA's Graduated Response model, supporting Students of Determination, EAL learners, and gifted students. The leadership team includes George Stokes as Head of Primary, bringing over a decade of UAE experience including his founding role at The Arbor School, and John Paton as Director of Inclusion with 15 years of education experience.

The school operates with fees ranging from AED 51,477 to AED 77,217, positioning it in the mid-range of Dubai's British curriculum schools. Parent discussions reveal mixed opinions about joining such a new school, with some residents noting the building appeared half-finished during opening and expressing the common wisdom of waiting two years before enrolling in any new institution. However, early parent feedback from those who enrolled describes satisfaction with staff and amenities, though acknowledging some ongoing construction-related limitations. The school's location offers convenience for families in Mira, Reem, and surrounding areas who want to avoid long commutes to established schools in other parts of Dubai.

Strengths

  • Part of Taaleem's successful DBS network with proven Outstanding KHDA ratings at sister schools
  • Strong founding leadership team with experience from other DBS schools and The Arbor School
  • Dedicated focus on inclusion and supporting diverse learning needs
  • Convenient location for families in Mira, Reem, and Al Qudra Road communities
  • Modern facilities with sustainable design features
  • Mid-range fees compared to Dubai's premium British schools

Considerations

  • Very new school with no track record, exam results, or established community feedback
  • Some parents report building appeared unfinished during opening phase
  • Limited secondary pathway as school currently only serves FS1-Year 6
  • Common advice suggests waiting 2+ years for new schools to establish themselves
  • No specific KHDA rating yet for this campus
  • Early stage means potential for staff and operational changes as school develops

The fourth DBS-branded school in Dubai under Taaleem, opened August 2025 in Mira Oasis 2 off Al Qudra Road. First-year operation, primary only for now (FS1 to Year 6), with Years 7 and 8 due to follow in 2026-27. No KHDA inspection rating yet and no external results, so the offer rests on the group track record (DBS Emirates Hills and DBS Jumeirah Park both sit at KHDA Outstanding) and on founding-team pedigree rather than verified outcomes here. Around 700 pupils enrolled in year one, with roughly a quarter from Mira itself and most of the rest from Town Square, Arabian Ranches, Mudon and Reem. Premium fee bracket for a primary school. Independent parent commentary is limited, in line with a school still in its first months.

Positives

  • Group pedigree. Operated by Taaleem, which also runs DBS Emirates Hills, DBS Jumeirah Park and DBS Jumeira. The two longer-running campuses both hold KHDA Outstanding. Founding Principal Amy Falhi comes from almost a decade at DBS Jumeirah Park, most recently as Vice Principal there.
  • Neighbourhood school feel. Designed around the surrounding Emaar communities. Many families walk in, drop-off and pick-up have been staggered, and the parent intake skews local. The community-school framing is one of the clearest selling points in the first year.
  • Facilities for a primary. Eight-lane competition pool, indoor sports hall, full-size football pitch, tennis and netball courts, a 180-seat black-box theatre and dedicated science, art and design-technology labs. Heavy specialist provision for a school currently running only to Year 6.
  • Inclusion provision. Dedicated Director of Inclusion with 15 years in education and a graduated-response model covering Students of Determination, EAL and gifted learners. The framework is in place from day one rather than retrofitted.

Considerations

  • Unrated and unproven. No KHDA inspection rating and no external exam results, because the school is in its first year. Parents are buying into a philosophy and a leadership team rather than verified outcomes at this campus.
  • Secondary phase still building. Currently primary only. Years 7 and 8 are due to open in 2026-27, with the full secondary and sixth form rolling out year by year. Families joining now are committing to a school that will not have a verified secondary track record for several years.
  • Al Qudra Road traffic. Access from Mudon, Town Square, Arabian Ranches 2 and Reem typically runs ten to fifteen minutes. Dubai Hills, JVC and Sports City sit closer to twenty-five. Al Qudra Road slows at peak times, and public transport is limited.
  • Premium fees. Annual fees for 2025-26 run from around AED 51,500 in FS1 to Year 2 up to AED 58,800 in Years 3 to 6, with published secondary fees of AED 69,872 in Years 7 to 11 and AED 77,217 in Years 12 to 13. That positions the school firmly in the premium primary segment.
