In Brief
BEPS suits families who want the full IB offering - including the rare Career-related Programme - in a genuinely small school near the Bois de la Cambre. It is not the right choice if you need a large campus, published exam results, or the lowest corporate-tariff fees.
BEPS has been on Avenue Franklin Roosevelt since 1972, in a cluster of historic buildings between the Bois de la Cambre and the ULB campus in Ixelles. The school is genuinely small - around 300 students, 50+ nationalities, hard cap of 18 per class - and the community feel that results from that scale is the thing parents who have been there consistently mention first. The school offers all four IB programmes: PYP (primary), MYP (middle years), the Diploma, and the Career-related Programme. The CP is unusual in the Brussels market - it bridges IB academic subjects with vocational qualifications and is only available at a handful of schools in Belgium.
The campus expanded in 2022 when BEPS acquired the adjacent building for secondary, completing a full renovation of the interior (by ID4Care) while preserving the historic facade. The secondary wing has open-plan collaborative spaces, a dedicated science lab, a maker space, and small-group rooms - more thoughtfully designed than you might expect from a school of this size. The Bois de la Cambre and ULB sports grounds provide outdoor and PE space that the campus itself does not have room for. After-school clubs run to 30+, and a financial aid programme is available for secondary students.
The fees published on the website are the corporate tariff: EUR 20,300 (Early Years) to EUR 36,590 (IB Diploma/CP). Families self-paying without employer support should ask admissions for the private tariff, which is lower. A NEASC accreditation visit took place in 2025-26, completing the formal accreditation process. One consistent note from independent reviewers is that the Belgian management culture at BEPS is deeply embedded - parent engagement is high and warm, but the school is not as transient in character as some larger international schools nearby.
What parents value
- –All four IB programmes including the rare Career-related Programme - the only such offer in this part of Brussels. Hard cap of 18 students per class across all year groups.
- –Warmly reviewed community atmosphere; genuine family orientation in a school of 300 students. Financial aid programme for secondary students.
- –Renovated 2022 secondary campus with science lab, maker space, and collaborative zones - well-resourced for the school's size.
Points of consideration
- –Corporate-tariff fees are substantial (EUR 20,300-36,590). Ask admissions for the private tariff if your employer is not covering fees.
- –No published IB exam results or graduation statistics on the website. Ask the school directly for recent Diploma averages and university destinations before enrolling.
