A long-established north Bangalore name with founder-era continuity at the top. Ms. Kalai Selvi has been with the school since 1996 and the in-house pedagogy has had time to bed in. ICSE through Grade 10, then IGCSE and Cambridge A-Levels in the senior years, with Cambridge results that have produced world and India toppers across recent cycles. The 20-acre Govindapura campus, occupied since 2022, sits behind the Yelahanka Air Force base and reads as space-rich rather than urban-pinched. The opposite side of the picture is fees that sit firmly in the upper bracket, mixed parent feedback on day-to-day discipline and parent communication, and a Yelahanka location that asks a real commitment of families further south in the city.

Positives

  • Leadership continuity. Ms. Kalai Selvi has led the school since its founding in 1996. Three decades of continuity in the top seat is unusual for a Bangalore private school of this size and shows in the consistency of the academic programme.
  • Academic results. Strong Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level outcomes with world and India toppers across multiple recent cycles. ICSE Grade 10 results have produced highs of around 99% and a school average in the low 90s.
  • Campus and facilities. The 20-acre Govindapura campus, occupied since 2022, is green, low-rise and built for activity. Sports provision is broad with a sizeable coaching pool, and the school is recognised under UNESCO's Happy Schools framework.
  • Curriculum choice through senior years. ICSE through middle school with the option to move to IGCSE and Cambridge A-Levels in the senior phase keeps the Indian and international pathways open under one roof, which is rarer in north Bangalore than the marketing suggests.

Considerations

  • Fees. Fees sit at the top of the Bangalore ICSE-plus-Cambridge bracket. Parents describe the school as a stretch outside the upper-middle and expat segment, and value-for-money ratings come in lower than the headline parent rating.
  • Discipline and pastoral consistency. Parent commentary on discipline is uneven. Some accounts describe a permissive day-to-day culture and incidents that they felt the school was slow to act on. Reading of the school's pastoral handling depends a lot on which year group and which homeroom.
  • Parent communication. Some parents praise teacher accessibility and the home-school relationship. Others describe a weaker bond with management and information that filters slowly. The pattern is not one-sided either way.
  • Teaching style. The in-house Vidyashilp Approach is project-led and emphasises critical thinking, which suits some children well. A counter-thread describes pace as content-driven and concept depth as uneven in places.
  • Location and commute. The Govindapura campus is space-rich and well outside the city core. Families in north Bangalore find it workable. Anyone further south will live with a long commute or a bus route that eats into the morning and evening.
