International Schools in Bangalore Under INR 7 Lakh
The INR 7 lakh ceiling captures most of Bangalore's international school market. Nine schools ranked by curriculum, area and outcomes.
# International Schools in Bangalore Under INR 7 Lakh
Bangalore · Fees & Costs
The INR 7 lakh ceiling captures most of what Bangalore's international school market actually charges. Unlike Mumbai or Delhi, where a ceiling at this level filters out the top tier, in Bangalore it leaves the field wide open. Nine schools sit beneath this threshold at their highest year group, spanning CBSE, ICSE, IB Diploma and Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level routes.
This is the bracket where most Bangalore tech-sector families and returning expat families end up looking. It includes genuinely international schools alongside strong CBSE schools that market themselves as international, where the differences come down to curriculum philosophy, area, and academic outcomes rather than headline price.

What This Bracket Looks Like
The under-INR 7 lakh bracket is where Bangalore's international school market lives. Unlike Mumbai, where genuine IB campuses regularly cross INR 10 lakh, Bangalore's pricing reflects a denser supply, a competitive IT-corridor market, and a much larger CBSE sector willing to bolt on Cambridge IGCSE rather than commit to full IB authorisation.
A few patterns stand out.
The bottom of the bracket is CBSE-heavy. Below INR 2.5 lakh, you are almost always looking at CBSE schools, sometimes with an IGCSE wing for senior years. NPS Indiranagar at INR 1.57–1.82 lakh is a pure CBSE school posting strong Class 12 averages (89.85% overall in 2024-25, with humanities students averaging 93.56%). The Deens Academy in Whitefield sits at INR 2.10 lakh with a 2025-26 Class 10 topper at 99% (495/500). For families committed to a fully Indian curriculum pathway, these schools offer outcomes that compete with much pricier alternatives.
IB and Cambridge enter mid-bracket. Once fees pass INR 3 lakh, the curriculum mix opens up. Bangalore International School in Hennur Gardens runs both IB Diploma and Cambridge from INR 1.78 lakh at the youngest age to INR 3.03 lakh at the top, holding CIS accreditation, the most rigorous international school accreditation available. Treamis World School in South Bangalore stacks CBSE alongside IB PYP, IB Diploma and Cambridge Advanced, reaching INR 3.53 lakh. Both schools fit the brief of being genuinely international rather than CBSE with a Cambridge upgrade option.
The top of the bracket is IB and Cambridge only. Above INR 5 lakh, the only schools left are full-fat international schools: Ebenezer International at INR 5.20 lakh top end, Candor International reaching INR 6.45 lakh. Both run IB Diploma plus Cambridge, both publish results, both compete for the same families considering Inventure Academy, Stonehill International or Indus International further up the price ladder.
Whitefield and Electronic City dominate the international tier. Bangalore's IT corridor families drive most of the demand, and the international tier of this bracket reflects it. Candor International sits in Electronic City, The Deens Academy in Whitefield, and several South Bangalore options (Edify, Treamis, Ebenezer) cover families commuting in from Sarjapur, HSR Layout and Koramangala.
Schools That Stand Out
With nine options, families need a way to filter. The schools below stand out for specific reasons, not because they are better than the rest, but because they serve distinct needs.
Bangalore International School, the most established CIS-accredited campus in the bracket. Hennur Gardens location, ages 3 to 18, IB Diploma and Cambridge both available. At INR 1.78–3.03 lakh it is one of the lowest entry points for a fully international school in Bangalore.
Ebenezer International School Bangalore, the strongest published academic record in the bracket. CIE 2024 produced 100% pass rates with 52% of students scoring above 75%. CISCE 2025 produced a 99.20% topper and 91% of students above 75%. Dual IB Diploma and Cambridge pathways, South Bangalore campus. INR 3.20–5.20 lakh.
Candor International School, the Electronic City option for IT-corridor families south of the city. CIS-accredited, IB Diploma plus Cambridge, university placements include King's College London, UBC and University of Melbourne. The fee spread is wide (INR 1.80–6.45 lakh across age groups), which makes it accessible for younger years and more demanding at senior level.
Vidyashilp Academy, the strongest ICSE/IGCSE pathway in the bracket. North Bangalore campus, IN_CISCE accredited, with a 2020 ICSE topper at 99% and IGCSE topper at 98%. For families who specifically want the ICSE board rather than CBSE, the options are thinner in Bangalore than in other Indian cities, and Vidyashilp is the natural anchor at INR 3.80 lakh.
Treamis World School, the curriculum-flexibility play. Offers CBSE, IB PYP, IB Diploma and Cambridge Advanced under one roof. 100% pass rates across all three boards year after year. South Bangalore location. Useful for families who want to defer the curriculum decision until secondary, or who have siblings on different pathways. INR 2.54–3.53 lakh.
National Public School Indiranagar, the academic CBSE benchmark. Central East Bangalore location (a real advantage for families in Indiranagar, Koramangala, Domlur, Frazer Town), with Class 12 averages that few schools at any price point match. Pure CBSE, no international hybrid. INR 1.57–1.82 lakh.
The Deens Academy, the Whitefield CBSE option. Recent toppers in the 97–99% range. Useful for families committed to staying in the Whitefield catchment who want CBSE rather than IB or Cambridge. INR 2.00–2.10 lakh.
What Separates INR 2 Lakh from INR 6 Lakh
The gap between the bottom and top of this bracket is real, and it maps to three things.
Curriculum recognition outside India. A CBSE school at INR 2 lakh, however strong its Class 12 results, prepares students primarily for the Indian higher education system. Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma at INR 5–6.45 lakh open up direct pathways to universities in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Europe. Families planning to relocate, or anticipating undergraduate study abroad, are paying for portability as much as quality.
Accreditation depth. At the top of this bracket, Bangalore International School and Candor International hold CIS accreditation. CIS evaluates governance, teaching, student welfare and learning outcomes against a single international standard. Further down the price ladder, schools rely on Indian board affiliation (CBSE, CISCE) without external international accreditation. Both are valid, just different.
Facilities and class size. Schools at INR 5–6.45 lakh typically run smaller classes, employ a higher proportion of international or internationally-trained teachers, and operate purpose-built campuses with dedicated sports, performing arts, and specialist science facilities. At INR 1.75–2.10 lakh, campuses are denser, classes larger, and facilities more multi-purpose. The difference is visible on a school visit.
The curriculum on paper can look identical. Two schools both offering Cambridge IGCSE may run very different programmes once you look at teacher qualifications, subject choice at A-Level, and university destinations. The only way to assess that gap is to visit, ask for the most recent exam results in writing, and request the university placement list for the past three years.

The top of this bracket (Candor, Ebenezer, Bangalore International) overlaps in quality with the lower end of Bangalore's premium tier (Inventure Academy, Stonehill, Canadian International).
