A four-year English-language college near Zurich Opera House taking students from Year 10 through A Levels, with a student body that is overwhelmingly Swiss and German-speaking despite the English medium.

Hull's covers Years 10 to 13 with IGCSE and A Levels, three buildings near Falkenstrasse and around 300 to 400 students. Around 90 percent of the cohort are Swiss nationals and 85 percent are native German speakers, so the feel is closer to an English-medium Swiss college than a typical expat international school. Class sizes in the lower years sit around 16 and the school builds catch-up tutoring into the timetable at no extra cost.

Parents praise the teachers as committed and personally invested, with strong knowledge of each student's gaps and structured university guidance through to Russell Group and Swiss universities. Recent A Level results show 90 percent of grades at A* to C. The administrative side draws less warm comment, with some families finding it inflexible. For relocating expats wanting a global peer group, the demographic skew is the main thing to weigh.

  • Small class sizes (around 16 in lower years) and the streamlined Years 10 to 13 IGCSE/A-level pathway draw repeat positive comment.

  • Some parents flag the administrative office as poorly organised, with one saying internal communication does not work well and parents have to chase.
  • About 80% of students reach their target university outcome; roughly a third go on to Swiss universities, around half to the UK or EU.
