A central Zurich private school built around accelerated Swiss Matura, BMS and Passerelle pathways, now adding the IB Diploma as a candidate school.

Academic Gateway sits at Lowenstrasse a short walk from Zurich main station, with a modern building opened in 2021. The core business is one-year Matura, BMS and Passerelle preparation for Swiss-system students, taught with a heavy e-learning component. The school is now an IB Diploma candidate, which would extend it into the international stream proper.

Families and adult students value the small classes, the central location and the technical fit-out of the rooms. The student profile skews older than a typical international school, with many in the final stretch before university entry. For relocating families with children already in the IB pathway, the school is best treated as candidate-stage rather than a fully authorised IB World School, and the offer is narrower than a through-school. For Swiss-system catch-up or acceleration the offer is well established.
