In brief
A small Montessori plus Cambridge primary in Edogawa-ku, suited to families in east Tokyo who want an English-medium early years setting tied to ward subsidies.
TIPS runs two campuses in Nishi-Kasai and Naka-Kasai, with Montessori for K1 to K3 and the Cambridge Primary programme through grade 5. Instruction is in English, classes are small, and the Nishi-Kasai building is approved for Edogawa ward subsidies that meaningfully reduce the kindergarten cost. The cohort skews local rather than expat, with many Japanese and mixed families using the school as a route into English-medium learning.
The fit here is families east of central Tokyo who want a relaxed early years setting and a primary curriculum that is recognised internationally. The school stops at grade 5, so a plan for middle school is needed early. The buildings are converted commercial spaces rather than purpose-built campuses. Families looking for the scale, sports and extracurricular spread of the larger Tokyo names will look elsewhere.
