Yoder International Academy

An American-curriculum experimental school in Taoyuan, not Taipei, serving grades six to twelve. The pitch is a Cognia-accredited US pathway at a lower price point than the Taipei flagships.

Yoder was registered with Taoyuan's Department of Education in August 2019 and operates under the nonprofit Hsieh Yoder Educational Foundation. It is the only Cognia-accredited institution in Taoyuan City and runs AP, SAT, TOEFL, and PSAT prep alongside the core American programme. Faculty is described as roughly thirty native English-speaking teachers.

Independent parent voice online is sparse. The school is best understood as a regional option for families based around Taoyuan and Zhongli who want a US-track education without the daily commute or fees of the central Taipei schools. Families set on a Taipei address and a larger international peer group should look elsewhere. The affiliated Yoder Bilingual Academy in Zhongli has run since 2010 and feeds into the international academy.
