Lycée International Français de Taipei
Non-profit French-curriculum school (CP to 4ème) in Xinyi, AEFE-partnered and trilingual (French, English, Mandarin), founded by the French-speaking community in Taipei. 2024-25 annual tuition NT$378,900 (elementary) to NT$440,100 (secondary); one-time registration fee NT$51,500.
In brief
A young French-curriculum school accredited by AEFE, opened in 2022 and pitched at Franco-Taiwanese families wanting a trilingual French, Mandarin and English track at well below TES or TAS fees.
LIFT runs the French national curriculum from CP through the early collège years, with AEFE homologation for primary. Anthony Belin leads the school. Around three quarters of students are Franco-Taiwanese binationals, and all students study French, Mandarin and English. In 2024 LIFT opened sixième and cinquième classes at the Yong Chun campus, the start of a planned secondary build-out.
Families choose LIFT for two reasons. The first is fees, around 380,000 NTD per year, roughly half what the French section at TES charges. The second is the small, parent-involved governance model, with parent representatives on the board and a community feel that is hard to find at the larger schools. The trade-off is breadth and depth, since a school this young has limited co-curricular offer and a still-developing secondary programme. Families who need a full lycée track to baccalauréat continue to go to the French section at TES.

Reviews
- LIFT opened in 2022 and was set up by parents in the French-speaking community after several years of volunteer preparation, which colours the available reviews.
- Parent voice is concentrated, family-driven and warm. The school is repeatedly described as "a big family of parents and teachers."
- Parents say they feel listened to and that governance includes parent representation on the board.
- Trilingual delivery (French, English, Mandarin) and well-being focus are flagged as the main draws over Taipei's larger international options.
- Sample size is small and largely from families involved in the school's founding, so independent critical signal is light.
Head of school
Anthony Belin
Anthony grew up in France where, after studying in “classes préparatoires”, he graduated with a double Master’s degree in Contemporary Literature and Management of Cultural Enterprises. After getting his teaching certification, he worked in various Parisian establishments to then export his passion for teaching to Malaysia and then Australia. This professional career at the crossroads of languages convinced him that a quality education must allow each student to fully express their potential in an environment where well-being and diversity are at the heart of the project.
