In brief
A small K-12 English-immersion school in Gangdong-gu led by Matthew Turner, with a kindergarten arm running a California-style early years programme.
SIE was founded in 2017 and follows an Accreditation International curriculum plan across kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school. The kindergarten branch, SIE.K, adapts the California state programme and runs full days from 8.30 to 5.00 with classes of around 12. Common Core is the spine across the older grades.
Parent and teacher voice is sparse online. The school's audience is families who want an English-speaking immersive environment in eastern Seoul and are happy to trade size and accreditation depth for a smaller and more intimate setup. As with most schools in this tier, families looking at SIE alongside KIS, SIS or SFS are choosing between a boutique private academy and a fully Korean MOE-recognised foreign school, which is the central decision point parents should sit with.
