A small Christian American-curriculum school in Suji, Yongin, opened in 2017 and pitched at families looking for a US-style programme south of Seoul rather than the larger Pangyo or Gangnam schools.

MICA serves children from age 3 to 18, follows US Common Core with Advanced Placement options in the upper years, and is COGNIA-accredited. The campus is in Gogi-dong, Suji-gu, with provided housing for staff near Migeum Station and a 20-minute subway run into Gangnam. Facilities include a full-size gym, art and music rooms, library and outdoor play space.

The school is young and still settling. Teacher-side feedback flags multiple rebrandings and a parent-facing operating style closer to a Korean hagwon than a long-established international school. Real cohort size and university destinations are not well documented, which families should probe directly on a visit. A school worth a look for the location and the price point, with the caveat that the track record is short.

  • Public reviews come almost entirely from teachers, not parents.
  • Glassdoor reviews give the school a 3.3 rating, with 66% of reviewers saying they would recommend it. Teachers praise the colleague community.
  • The recurring complaint is administration. One review says "admin and leadership were very disorganized," framing it as an issue that has since improved with departures.
  • Another teacher describes administration as behaving "like a hagwon trying to keep parents happy."
  • A 2019 post questioned whether MICA is a registered international school and described an age-related rejection from a hiring process. The blacklist context is one-sided.
  • No structured parent reviews surface in searches.
