Scotch AGS launched its first cohorts in Years 6 to 10 in 2022 and has been building out a full primary and secondary spread, with campuses including a central Saigon site and Tan Phu. Teaching is in English with Vietnamese history and traditions threaded in. The link to Scotch College Adelaide is the main draw for families planning Australian university or moving back and forth between the two countries.

Early parent voice is mostly positive, with notes on visible gains in English fluency, teamwork and confidence after a few terms, modern classrooms and an attentive teaching team. The repeated practical complaint is the lack of an on-site sports field and pool, which means children are bussed to external venues for PE. As a young school, the cohort is still small and the long-arc evidence on senior outcomes is yet to land.

  • Reviews come almost entirely from teachers, not parents. Independent parent voices are scarce.
  • Teachers describe the school as Vietnamese-run under a licensed Australian name, with reports of cancelled contracts, late pay and tax issues in early years, and advise others against working there.
  • The school positions itself on the SACE (South Australian) curriculum and points to early university offers for its first graduating cohort, but those claims sit on the school site and partner-school site, not in independent parent feedback.

Considerations

  • Operational concerns flagged by teachers. Multiple teacher posts describe contract cancellations, late or cash payments and limited insurance in the early period after opening.
  • Australian-curriculum positioning. School and partner-school communications emphasise the SACE pathway and early university offers; this signal is from the school side, not parents.
  • Thin independent parent signal. No substantive parent reviews found, community discussions or aggregators.
