Saigon International College

A public Vietnamese senior high school running the Western Australian Certificate of Education entirely in English, founded in November 2005 as a joint programme between the HCMC Department of Education and the WA School Curriculum and Standards Authority.

SIC sits inside the Vietnamese state system rather than the international fee tier, while delivering a fully accredited Australian Year 11 to 12 programme that maps onto an ATAR ranking for university admissions. Subjects span the typical WA spread of business, economics, computer science, design and the sciences. Fees sit around 178 to 188 million VND a year, well below the city's international price band.

Independent parent and student voice on SIC is thin, and most of what circulates is school marketing or directory listings. Families considering it are usually Vietnamese students aiming directly at Australian universities and treating the WACE pathway as a cheaper, more local alternative to the international schools across town. The trade for that price is a narrower programme, fewer extracurriculars and less external scrutiny.
