Renaissance International School Saigon
Deliberately small IB school in District 7 combining IB PYP, MYP, and DP with IGCSE in the middle years - an unusual dual-track that suits families wanting Cambridge qualifications before the IB Diploma. Vietnam's only Round Square school.
In brief
A British-curriculum school in District 7 founded in 2007 by Khai Sang Corporation, leading to IGCSE and the IB Diploma in the senior years, with CIS accreditation.
RISS runs the English National Curriculum from Early Years through Key Stage 5, switching to the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13 where results have run consistently above the world average. Around 600 students from age 2 to 18 spread across a campus on Nguyen Thi Thap. The school is the only one in Vietnam to meet Round Square membership criteria, alongside CIS accreditation and IB authorisation.
Families repeatedly call out the family feel and the speed at which teachers get to know individual children, which is what the IB Diploma cohort tends to credit for the strong outcomes. The cohort blends expat and Vietnamese families and one older thread flags that the parent communities can run in parallel rather than mixing. Fees from roughly VND 202 to 856 million put RISS in the upper-mid bracket, a step below ISHCMC and BIS.

Reviews
- District 7 IB school of around 500 pupils across 23+ nationalities; a small school by HCMC standards, with reviews split between warm community feedback and harsher critiques.
- Parents who praise it consistently use family language, citing teachers who learn pupils quickly, a safe campus, and active community events.
- The harder line, repeated across International Schools Review and community discussions, is that admissions are non-selective, IB averages have been low (described as 'average or less'), and teacher turnover has run high enough that one ex-parent cites it as a reason for moving their child.
- Staff-side commentary echoes the turnover signal, with management criticised for stress on teachers and a commercial bias.
