Tip Toes School

A small Czech-British bilingual school group founded in 2009 that runs preschools and primary schools in Prague Vinohrady and in Brandys nad Labem, ages 2 to 15.

The model blends the Czech Framework Educational Programme with elements of the British curriculum, with a native English speaker present in every class and CLIL-style subject teaching across both languages. Classes cap around 15 children. The Vinohrady primary opened in autumn 2022 and was the first Czech-British primary in that district. The group is family-owned, founded by Jarmila Dvorakova and her daughter, and aims at bilingual continuity from preschool into lower secondary.

Parent voice is overwhelmingly positive at small sample size. Families talk about an individual approach, children who look forward to school, and bilingual fluency that develops naturally rather than through forced immersion. The trade-off is scale. There is no upper secondary, so families need a longer-term plan for IGCSE, A Level or IB once children reach the upper teen years.
