International School of Prague
Prague's oldest international school (founded 1948) and the only one offering the full IB Continuum - PYP, MYP, DP and CP - as a nonprofit on a single campus in Nebusice, Prague 6. Fees run CZK 314,000-831,000 per year (2026/27)…
In brief
The oldest and largest international school in the Czech Republic, founded in 1948, on a 12 hectare campus in Nebušice next to the Divoká Šárka nature reserve about 20 minutes from central Prague.
ISP runs Pre-K to Grade 12 for around 800 to 900 students from more than 60 nationalities, accredited by CIS and NEASC. It is the only school in Prague offering the full IB continuum from PYP through MYP to DP, alongside the IB Career-related Programme. The Class of 2025 reported the strongest DP results in the school's history. Fees sit at the top of the Prague market, roughly CZK 314,000 to CZK 831,000.
ISP is the default landing for diplomatic and corporate-relocation families and the parent association is genuinely active. Praise centres on the campus, facilities, the IB continuum, and a strong professional staff. The recurring honest note is that academic pace can feel a year behind US norms in the middle years, and a minority of parents describe administration as uneven. Most families who choose it see it as the local benchmark.

Reviews
- ISP runs as a non-profit on a custom-built campus in Nebusice, with around 900 students from over 60 nationalities and full IB Diploma at the upper end.
- Parents on parent trackers describe a positive, supportive school with an in-house psychologist and well-being coordinator and an active parent community association.
- Teacher commentary notes the campus and forest setting positively; one r/Internationalteachers thread also flagged a current curriculum push by the director that was not landing well with all staff.
- The most cited negative is academic pacing: parents who have moved children to and from US schools say ISP feels around a year behind, and one review went further to call educators "hacks" and admin "dysfunctional".
- The school is the oldest international school in the Czech Republic (founded 1948) and offers scholarship support specifically for Czech residents.
