International School of Paris
Paris's only full IB World School (PYP, MYP, DP), founded in 1964 and managed by a parent board of trustees. 2026-27 fees range from EUR 25,500 (Nursery) to EUR 39,000 (Grades 10-12), with a EUR 10,000 one-time entry fee for…
In brief
ISP is the only three-programme IB World School in France, running PYP, MYP and DP across ages 3 to 18. Around 900 students from 60-plus nationalities on three sites in the 16th arrondissement.
Founded in 1964 and IB-accredited since 1982, with DP results consistently above world averages. Fees run roughly EUR 25,500 to EUR 39,000 a year. Accreditations include CIS and NEASC. The three campuses sit close together near Trocadéro, with primary, middle and upper school separated by age band rather than spread across the city. Head of school Antoine Delaitre.
Families value the small classes, warm community, and consistency of the IB philosophy from preschool through diploma. Pastoral care and teacher access come up repeatedly. The grumble that surfaces most often is the gap between marketing polish and day-to-day reality. Best fit for internationally mobile families who want all three IB programmes in central Paris and value continuity over a UK or US-style track.

Reviews
- Reviewers consistently praise the IB programme; the school has run the Diploma for over four decades and parents say small classes mean strong student-teacher contact.
- Recent graduates have moved on to universities including Yale, USC, Berkeley, UCLA, NYU Stern, Cambridge, King's College London and UCL.
- Sports and outdoor space are the recurring weak point; the gym is small and PE often runs at municipal pools and stadiums; younger pupils use Ranelagh Park for outdoor time.
- Older forum threads include sharply mixed memories from former pupils, including one ex-student calling the late-1970s era a "mess" and another calling French IB schools generally a "joke".
- Job postings flag living in Paris itself as a main draw for staff, which may explain teacher turnover concerns occasionally raised in IB-related threads.
