Al Raneem International Private School

A Cambridge bilingual school in Al Amerat run by veteran educationalist Karim Baksh Al Balushi, originally founded in 1986 as Al Wattayah Private School and rebranded to Al Raneem in 2017.

The school upgraded to International Private School status by Ministerial Decision 30/2023 in May 2023, the first in Oman to do so within its category. It runs the Cambridge International programme from Grade 1 to 12 and IEYC in Kindergarten, serving 400-plus students aged 3 to 18. Annual fees of OMR 1,932 to 3,910 keep it firmly in the affordable bracket. The school has had a partnership with the British Council since 2012 as Oman's first Cambridge-associated school, and was an early adopter of e-books and iPads in classrooms.

Parent voice online is thin but consistent on the warmth of staff communication and the modern campus. The catchment is heavily local and Arab-expat.
