A four-campus Mexican private school in Colonia Del Valle running Cambridge through middle school, then splitting into IB Diploma or UNAM Bachillerato at sixteen, popular with Mexican professional families who want a credible international option without the British or American school price tag.

TAE has been operating since 1983 and uses the standard Mexican model of separate campuses for preschool, primary, secondary, and high school, all in the Del Valle area. Cambridge anchors the curriculum from EYFS upward, and around 70% of students hit B2 English on Cambridge exams, with French as a third language reaching DELF level for a smaller cohort.

The IB-or-UNAM choice at high school is the distinguishing feature. Families heading abroad take the Diploma, while those staying in Mexico take the UNAM track and skip the additional fees. Parent feedback praises the integration into school life and the academic pace. Catchment is Mexican families from the Benito Juárez and Coyoacán neighbourhoods. A solid mid-tier choice for bilingual rather than fully international ambitions.

  • The public review pool is moderate and mixed. Aggregate sits around across roughly 49 ratings on Mexican school directories, with most narrative coming from Google and the EduPulse review platform.
  • The IB Diploma is the recurring sore point. One student reviewer flagged structural issues including "lack of a Psychology teacher, Theory of Knowledge taught in Spanish rather than English, and grading inconsistencies", with completion rates lower than expected and SAT preparation seen as inadequate for international university entry.
  • Bullying handling is the second consistent complaint. One parent wrote "Education quality is good, but the school tends to neglect bullying issues of any kind".
  • Small-school size is praised by some and flagged by others. Quieter students are described as struggling to integrate, with established friendship groups making it harder for new arrivals.
  • Facilities draw criticism for being a converted mansion rather than purpose-built, with limited recreational space.
  • a Mexico City local listed it among the bilingual private options in the Del Valle and Narvarte area, alongside Nuevo Continente and Mexicana del Valle.
