Atid School

A bilingual English-Spanish Jewish day school in the Tecamachalco area, established in 1993 and part of the Maguen David community network.

Curriculum
IB

A bilingual English-Spanish Jewish day school in the Tecamachalco area, established in 1993 and part of the Maguen David community network. The IB Diploma sits alongside a full Hebrew, Torah, and Jewish-studies programme, with English given priority among the daily working languages.

Atid serves the Jewish-Mexican community from preschool through high school, with an explicit goal of building Hebrew fluency alongside English and Spanish. The IB Middle Years and Diploma frame the academic side, while the Jewish-identity strand is central rather than optional.

The fit is Jewish families who want English-priority instruction inside the Maguen David community rather than the more traditional Hebrew-Spanish route at the affiliated Colegio Hebreo Maguen David. For non-Jewish families it is not a typical option.

  • Discussion online is dominated by the school's identity and management rather than day-to-day classroom life. Atid is a Jewish-Mexican IB school in Cuajimalpa, and reviews reflect a community-school audience.
  • Positive framing centres on the IB programme, the trilingual Spanish-English-Hebrew model, and the religious and cultural framework that families either choose for or filter on.
  • Staff reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor flag concerns about management, discipline handling, and what one ex-employee describes as parent influence on school decisions. International Schools Review aggregates similar themes around teacher turnover and IB exam outcomes.
  • The pool of independent parent reviews is thin. There is no useful Reddit, Mumsnet or expat.com signal in English or Spanish.

At Atid, education is more than learning: it is a way of understanding the world and acting within it with purpose and responsibility. Guided by the International Baccalaureate (IB), our students learn through inquiry, critical thinking, reflection, and meaningful action, preparing them to thrive in a diverse and interconnected global society. Our international teaching community, bilingual academic program, and global experiences, including international travel, cultivate open-minded, confident students who understand multiple perspectives and make informed, thoughtful decisions. This global outlook is deeply rooted in our Judeo-Zionist identity, grounded in Jewish values, community, and a strong connection to Israel. Through personalized education, we shape future leaders; students who take initiative, embrace responsibility, and lead with identity and values.
