Brent Manila is the Episcopal Church's Manila campus of the Brent network founded by Bishop Charles Henry Brent in Baguio in 1909. The Manila branch opened in Pasig in 1984 and moved to its current Brentville campus in Binan, Laguna in 1999.

Around 850 students aged 3 to 18 on a 17-hectare campus in Mamplasan, with the IB Diploma in the upper years alongside Advanced Placement courses. Headmaster Jason Atkins runs both academic and operational sides. Fees sit in the premium tier at roughly PHP 350,000 to PHP 960,000 plus USD components, with IB averages around 32-33.

Families describe a warm, faith-tinged community on a green campus that feels more like an estate than a city school, with parents staying long after their children move on. The trade-off is location: Binan is a serious commute from BGC and Makati, with school buses doing an hour each way. Best fit for families happy to live in Brentville or southern Manila who want IB and AP with strong pastoral care, and willing to swap city convenience for green space.

  • Named in expat circles as one of the three Manila international schools alongside ISM and British School Manila, with the same Ivy-track positioning and similar fee bracket.
  • Parents value the campus environment, after-school programme and pastoral feel, with the religious affiliation described as ecumenical rather than restrictive.
  • The Brentville location south of Manila is a recurring drawback. One parent notes children spend an hour each way on the bus from diplomatic areas, and some families switch to ISM for proximity rather than for academics.
  • Teacher accounts on aggregator pages describe a small school where staff wear several hats, kind colleagues, and a noted gap between local and overseas hire treatment.
  • IB pass rates sit above the global mean and the school operates an inclusive IB policy; one alum says "Brent really shaped who I am".
