The La Moraleja campus of King's College, the British school group founded in Madrid in 1969, now operated by Inspired Education and serving as the infants and junior partner to the senior site at Soto de Vinuelas.

King's College La Moraleja opened in 2007 as a purpose-built campus and runs from age 1 to 16, with most students continuing to the original 1969 Soto de Vinuelas campus for sixth form and A Levels. The English National Curriculum is delivered by mostly British-trained teachers, with CIS and BSO accreditation. The wider King's Group joined Inspired Education in 2019.

Parents praise pastoral care in early years and the smooth pipeline to Soto for senior school. Around 650 pupils across La Moraleja allow for small classes. Fees sit at roughly 8,100 to 16,100 euros, on the lower side for British curriculum in Madrid. The main consideration is the move to Soto at age 16; families wanting a single-campus solution to 18 sometimes look at ICS or Hastings.

  • Madrid posters routinely group King's College, La Moraleja with SEK, ICS Madrid, Runnymede and the British Council School as the established English-medium options for families wanting a British curriculum outside the city centre.
  • One Madrid resident said they could vouch for King's College as a British school close to Tres Cantos, that children also pick up Spanish there, and that extracurriculars are plentiful.
  • The directory rating sits around 3.6 to 4.0 across small samples. One parent said the teachers are very supportive and helpful and the values-driven approach made them happy. Another visitor said they were impressed by the warmth of staff and students alike.
  • One critical review described an unprofessional admissions experience, slow responses to calls and emails, and disputes over payments. Pool size is small, so weight accordingly.
  • The school sits in La Moraleja, north of Madrid, train-connected and considered safe by local posters. International school teacher forums note European international schools tend to pay less than Asian or Latin American counterparts, which shapes who applies.
