In brief
ICS Madrid is the city's longest-running English-medium IB Continuum school, in La Moraleja, now operated by Nord Anglia and consistently popular with relocating expat families.
Founded in 1980 and on its current La Moraleja site since 1983, ICS teaches the full IB programme in English from age 3 to 18 and serves around 1,200 students from roughly 70 nationalities. It joined Nord Anglia Education in 2013 and holds CIS, NEASC, and Cognia accreditation. Fees range from about 12,000 to 25,600 euros, mid-pack for English-medium IB in Madrid.
Families value the international community, strong IB Diploma results, and university outcomes that include regular UK and US destinations. The site is older than newer rivals such as King's La Moraleja, and a few graduates flag that some buildings show their age, though academic culture and teacher quality are praised. La Moraleja, Alcobendas, and the AP-1 corridor north of the city are the natural catchment, with school buses extending reach into central Madrid.

Reviews
- Long-tenure ICS families are strongly positive about pastoral care, teacher relationships and the breadth of after-school activity.
- Aggregated school surveys put parent-teacher relationship satisfaction at 92%, and one parent said "we've felt like part of the family here at ICS Madrid" with children making friends "from around the world."
- The IB-only pathway across PYP, MYP and DP is treated as a draw for internationally mobile families; 2025 DP average sits around 35 with over a fifth of cohort scoring 40+.
- Recurring concern among parents who left: secondary-stage administration and university counselling are seen as needing improvement.
- Class sizes in some year groups are flagged as larger than families expect at the fee level.
- ICS Madrid is the most expensive option in the La Moraleja cluster, with DP fees reaching about EUR 25,635 plus enrolment.
- The school is part of Nord Anglia; parents tend to focus on the campus itself rather than the group.
