In brief
A small family-owned co-educational prep in Wandsworth SW18, drawing children from across south-west London for an unfussy, creative primary education with classes capped at around 14 to 19.
The school began in 1983 as Mrs Roche's Coaching Establishment in West Kensington and moved to its Frogmore site in Wandsworth in 1988. It runs from age 2 to 11 with two classes per year group, leans creative as well as academic, and has notably strong art, music, and drama provision for a school of its size.
Local families describe happy children, smiling staff, and an environment where energy goes into the pupils rather than the marketing. Newer teachers get praise; longer-serving staff get a more mixed reception. The recurring grumble is communication and day-to-day organisation, with some families finding the slight chaos endearing and others finding it wearing. The Frogmore building can also feel cramped despite recent expansions. New head Charlotte Doherty took over in 2025.

Reviews
- Independent review signal is positive about a small, warm prep-school environment where care, energy, and pupil happiness are visible.
- Space is a recurring caveat. The school appears to compensate through strong staff attention, small classes, and use of nearby facilities rather than a large campus.
- One former-student review is sharply negative, but it sits against a broader positive independent-guide picture and has little detail to test.
