ACS Egham is one of three ACS campuses around London, founded in 1995 on a 21 acre Surrey estate around 25 miles from central London. The only school in England running all four IB programmes, with a dedicated IB Diploma Centre.

Around 500 students aged 4 to 18 from over 45 nationalities, taught on a landscaped campus anchored by a Mansion House and modern subject blocks. Buses run from Richmond, Hammersmith, Woking and across the M25 ring, so the school suits families willing to take a longer commute for the IB and the grounds. Fees run from roughly GBP 15,500 in lower years to over GBP 37,000 in the Diploma years.

Parents praise staff who flex around individual children, a strong sense of community across so many nationalities, and the breadth of after-school activity. Most recent ISI rated it Excellent. The price tag draws comments but families consistently say they would pay it again. Best fit for internationally mobile or returning British families wanting a full IB pathway and willing to live the commuter belt life rather than central London.

  • IB results sit comfortably above the global average. 2024: average 34 points, 97% pass rate, top score 42. 2025: average 35 across all three ACS campuses, top Egham score 43, world average 30.6. ISI most recently rated the school Excellent in its 2020 Educational Quality report.
  • The only school in England offering all four IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP and the Career-related Programme), with the first IBCP cohort graduating in 2025. A real factor for families who want career-focused study alongside IB rigour.
  • Around 600 students from roughly 67 nationalities on a 21-acre campus, with a slightly more British contingent than Cobham or Hillingdon. One parent said "if I had the finances, I would have come here sooner."
  • Turnover is real but managed. A core of long-stayers anchors year groups, and the rolling intake is a feature rather than a bug for genuinely mobile families.
  • Non-selective admissions show in results at the top end. Parents and editors describe Egham as solid rather than at the very top of the IB tables, with two-thirds heading to UK universities.
