Wellington College International Lagos

Pre-opening British day and boarding school slated for September 2027 in Alaro City, north of Lagos, in partnership with Rendeavour. First African school in the Wellington College International network.

Founding cohort planned from Nursery to Year 9 plus Year 12, scaling up annually. The Alaro City campus is being built with a fifty-metre Olympic pool, a four-hundred-metre track, a full-size rugby pitch, indoor sports complex, performing arts theatre, STEM laboratories and a medical centre.

Wellington College International already runs schools in China, Thailand and India, so the operating playbook is established, but the Lagos site sits an hour or so from Ikoyi and Lekki and the daily commute will be the biggest practical question for Island families. Boarding will matter more here than at most Lagos schools. No parent or pupil signal exists yet, since the school has not opened. Families looking at it are weighing the brand, the operator track record and the founding-cohort discount.
