Mainland Lagos co-ed group founded 2004 by the Akinola family, blending the English National Curriculum and Cambridge programmes with Nigerian content for ages 2 to 17.

Four campuses across Ilupeju, Ikeja and Allen Avenue: Early Years and Primary in Ilupeju, Secondary off Adeniyi Jones in Ikeja, and the Sixth Form College on Oyediran Close, Opebi. Cambridge IGCSE and A Level alongside WAEC, with results that have been climbing year on year.

Families on the Mainland choose Temple as the serious British-style alternative to the Island schools, at fees they can actually afford. Class sizes are larger than at the Ikoyi or Lekki names, but parents talk about strong character formation, long-tenured teachers and a recognisable house ethos. The Christian framing runs through assemblies and pastoral care without being heavy-handed. Sports facilities at the Ikeja secondary site are unusually good for the area, with a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts and a sports field.

  • Lagos parent voice on the open web is positive but mostly tied to school-channel marketing: directory listings show high recommendation rates and parents praising staff dedication and character development.
  • Parents repeatedly cite the dual British National plus Cambridge curriculum and the addition of Nigerian local content as a draw.
  • Recurring practical praise covers small class sizes, one-on-one support, and provision for children with learning difficulties.
  • Multi-site footprint (Ilupeju Early Years and Primary, Ikeja Secondary, Allen Avenue College) appears in parent comments as logistical context rather than complaint.
  • Independent forum signal (Reddit, expat boards) on Temple School by name is effectively absent. Treat the public review pool as small and directory-skewed.
