In brief
A Maryland-based through-school founded in 1996, mixing British and Nigerian curricula, with a strong reputation for value relative to fees.
Halifield started on Salami Street in Mende in 1996 and moved to its current Oki Lane campus in Maryland in 2003. The secondary school was added in 2009, and the school now runs from 18 months through to senior secondary, preparing students for both IGCSE and WAEC and NECO. The curriculum is deliberately blended so families can keep options open between Nigerian and international destinations.
Parents talk about Halifield in warm terms: dedicated teachers, a calm clean environment, and a sense that fees translate into actual care. The school sits at a more accessible price point than the big-name international schools in Lekki or Ikeja, and that affordability is part of the appeal for Lagos professional families. Families seeking heavy international branding or an explicit IB pathway will look elsewhere.
