Founded
2011

Founded 2011 by property developer Dato' Steve Chong Yoon On, Austin Heights is a mid-fee British-stream school in Mount Austin and one of the larger established international options in Johor Bahru.

Around 1,000 students from over 26 countries on a five-acre campus shared with sister schools. Cambridge Primary and the National Curriculum of England at secondary, leading to IGCSE and Cambridge A Level. Head is Suresh Kumar Bala. The school has not raised fees since 2011, which keeps it accessible relative to the premium Johor Bahru sites.

Parents describe disciplined, traditional schooling with strong IGCSE results. Teaching is a steady strength, the campus is well equipped, and several long-tenured families speak of children moving on to medicine and engineering after IGCSE. Public ratings online run mixed, and the culture is firmly structured rather than progressive. A reasonable choice for families who want a value British curriculum school in JB and are comfortable with a more conservative academic feel.
